A lesson on helping Y7-9 students write their New Year's resolutions in Spanish.
The first activity involves students mingling around the room to find the Spanish translations of the New Year's resolutions in English on their worksheets (the Spanish translations are cut up and stuck on the walls).
For the second activity, students work out their star sign and use a dictionary to translate the two adjectives to describe their personality and also to translate what their New Year's resolution should be according to their star sign.
Finally, students use the immediate future tense, "Me gustaria" and "Quisiera" to write their own New Year's resolutions using the phrases they have learnt.
