A lesson based on the film ‘Las aventuras de Tadeo Jones’ (2012).
Starter: gap-filling exercise about the Inca Empire
Show the videoclip about the Inca Empire as a cultural reference
Task 1: before playing the film, get the students to describe the poster by doing photo description (this is good practice for the GCSE speaking exam).
Mini-plenary - to assess how the students are finding the topic
Start the film and show the first 10-15 minutes.
Task 2: students write a couple of sentences using opinion verbs to give their opinion of Tadeo
Restart the film and play the next 15 minutes.
Task 3: students write a couple of sentences using opinion verbs to give their opinion of Sara.
