Times tables worksheet – 6,7,8,9,12

This worksheet is designed to help year 4 pupils master the most difficult times-tables, in preparation for the DFE’s Multiplication Tables Check (MTC). Research has shown that most children struggle to learn the 6, 7, 8, 9 and 12 times tables. The MTC focuses on these times tables. This worksheet covers all of these tables once and can be used as daily practice or as an assessment tool to identify which tables need to be practised further.
I have identified which children in my year 4 class are not yet fluent in their times-tables and I ask them to compete this worksheet every morning, in their morning work time. They then use the answer sheet to self-mark in order to support their memorisation.
