PPT lesson based on Viva 1, Module 2, Unit 1 on saying what you like to do with opinion verbs (me gusta)
STARTER: short translation activity of opinion verbs (using hearts to guess how much you like something).
GRAMMAR POINT: explanation of the idea of ‘infinitive’ in Spanish and English.
ACTIVITY 1: students write down short phrases using opinion verbs + infinitive. Then, they sort the different verbs in the infinitive by category (AR, ER, IR).
ACTIVITY 2: translation task with opinion verbs + infinitive using photos to guess the correct meaning.
ACTIVITY 3: reading task where students read about the likes and dislikes of three children. Then, they fill in the grid with the correct information.
