Vocal explorations.
Perfect for exploring pitch with Elementary, and Preschool classes. These explorations help to warm up students’ vocal cords, and helps them to associate pitch with visual shapes.

Bonus Preschool/Lower Elementary Activity Idea:
Have students trace the line with their finger or a pointer as they vocalise the shape, to help develop their motor skills.

Elementary Activity Idea:
Students recreate the vocal explorations on instruments, and design their own explorations to create a composition using graphic notation.

Use these as a warm-up at the start of a lesson or vocal activity, or as a centres/station resource, to encourage independent pitch exploration.
