This resource includes a set of 5 lessons on Jazz- it looks at the history and development of Jazz from the Blues and focuses on the key aspects of jazz including the 12 bar blues, walking bass line, blues scale and improvisation. The 5th lessons focuses on allowing students to reflect on their learning about the genre by creating a podcast which shares their knowledge. This task could be extended into an additional lesson if required.

There are 5 powerpoints to accompany each lesson with a range of written and practical tasks- these match up with a student booklet for them to complete activities in.
