This scheme of work includes an outline/plan for each lesson, powerpoints for each lesson and a student booklet which they can fill in along the way. The project focuses on features of pop music and then goes in depth into learning a performance of Stand By Me where students focus on learning the chord sequence, bass line and vocals. The project then moves onto looking at students composing their own short pop style song looking at writing lyrics, chord sequences and hooks.

The powerpoints include starter activities, practical tasks and reflection tasks at 2 assessment points.

The student booklet is in Microsoft publisher format.
