There are a total of 28 Peer Pressure Reflection Scenario Cards which all include a variety of relatable and realistic scenarios for students to discuss and reflect upon. These cards introduces students to various peer pressure scenarios and encourages reflection around decision making, problem solving, boundaries, empathy and choices.
These scenario cards are suitable for teenagers and young people due to the themes of alcohol, vaping, smoking, bullying, online safety, safe partying and academic pressures.
These scenarios explore a number of realistic situations in which the student is encouraged to explore whether they were influenced by peer pressure, whether the peer pressure if positive or negative. In extension, students are encouraged to explore the impacts and nuances of each situation.
The following Peer Pressure Scenario Cards explores some realistic and relatable peer pressure situations to support little learners explore this topic.
There are a total of 20 scenario cards and written as first person to encourage empathy, understanding and compassion. On each card, there is a visual representation of the peer pressure situation, as well as a written narrative explaining what is happening. At the bottom of the scenario card includes a reflective question – “Was I influenced by peer pressure?” Students are then encouraged to answer “Yes” or “No”. As an extension activity there are some additional reflective questions for students to explore.
Included in this resource are two paddle pop templates for both the “thumbs up” and “thumbs down” option. This can be utilized for whole class or small group situations to encourage each student to participate.

This framework is based on trauma-informed principles and knowledge. This framework is intentionally designed to teach and to shape the individual’s behaviour within consistent limits using non-blaming, non-shaming and empowering communication.

When we teach mindfulness to children, we are equipping them with the tools to help manage stress and approach life’s challenges.
Mindfulness can help to shape key critical skills that are developed in early childhood. These include the ability for children with attention to task and retain information, shift between tasks and displaying appropriate behaviours. Many today suffer with a damaged sense of self. Some individuals have such profound self-esteem deficits that they have internalized the belief that they are bad and that their future is hopeless. The goal of enhancing self-esteem for these students is not an easy one, but it is an important component of any successful treatment program. This workbook has been developed to help students to develop the tools to help individuals focus on their strengths and abilities, promote feelings of self-worth, encourage a more optimistic attitude and install a hope for their future.
This 38 page workbook addresses important issues that are relevant in relation to increasing self-esteem, understanding feelings, bullying and anger management. This workbook is designed so that the child has an opportunity to reflect on who they are, including to gain further insights into self-esteem, feelings, bullying and anger management.
Some activities are also whole-class activities to encourage self-esteem and empowerment, encouraging all children to isolate and express the things that they like and admire in the others in a very fun way.
This is a fun, creative and engaging intervention for students who have difficulty with persistent lying. This intervention helps students project their internal beliefs and fears about themselves onto the monster that they create and imagine and gain acceptance from you.
Although this isn’t a directive/skills-based intervention, this mini-lesson has been successful at supporting students who have a history of lying. Students are encouraged to create their own monster and explore key aspects of their monster. This intervention includes various activities, reflective questions and worksheets.
Within this intervention the monster is also encouraged to play two truths and a lie so that they play intentional truth telling and lying. Additional creative stories will be journaled to support students to understand the distinction between imagination and reality. This intervention takes the focus off the child “lying” and allow them to explore it in a creative way that isn’t directed at them.
This therapeutic intervention requires the therapist to be very curious and unconditionally accepting of the monster that the student creates and imagines.
Remember the vital role of empathy and at the end of the intervention thank the student for sharing what they would look like as a monster to support integration.

Exploring defining moments in life
This is a fun, engaging, creative and non-threatening intervention which is great for students to explore emotional regulation, anger management, reflective practice and self care.
What to do?
1.Encourage students to explore each of the 24 realistic scenarios on each page and reflect on how that scenario would make them feel. This also encourages empathy, compassion and consideration into the feelings and actions of others as they resonate with each scenario.
2.The next step is for the students to explore the “Anger Management Strategy Ingredients” list and tick what anger management strategy they could or would employ and use for that particular scenario. This helps students to reflect, explore and gain insight into their own feelings and behaviours.
3.Students then put those ingredients into the “blender” which is located on each page to cement the lesson. There are 24 visuals for already developed anger management strategies which students can utilize. There are an addition 12 blank visual cards for students to explore some of their own individual and unique self-care strategies that work for them.
4.Lastly, students can create a name for that particular anger management smoothie. This heightens the learning outcomes and students become more likely to explore and employ these anger management strategies within their everyday life.
