Ppt contains plenty of vocabulary to talk about sports, how often and when and why (adjectives). This sub-unit consolidates opinions, days of the week and verb conjugations in the present tense, all covered in modules 2.1 to 2.3. It has, towards the end of the powerpoint, a section dedicated to a wide range of starter activities (odd one out, what’s missing, pyramid translation, evil tiles, find the errors, disappearing text…). It also consolidates the 3 present tense conjugations and introduces stem-changing verbs (including some practise on these). There are differentiated and challenging activities to practise all skills with your students. You will find all materials to teach module 2 in my shop. This baseline test is suitable to quickly get information of the proficiency level of a potential EAL student to inform your teaching. It consists of 100 multiple choice (3) questions. The number of correct answers will inform about your student’s proficiency level (new to English / early acquisition / developing competence / competent / fluent). The test is divided in 3 sections. Section A tests the general understanding of English, e.g. interactions with a question and having to choose the best answer (conventionalisms). This bundle includes units 1 to 5 from Module 4 “En casa" in Mira 1. This bundle includes a 100 slide ppt presentation with activities based mainly on the textbook but also a lot of additional stuff created by me, as well as 3 worksheets created by me or inspired on different sources (such as news articles). Please read the notes at the bottom of each slide as i often include instructions on how to conduct an activity or simply the source (there’s a listening from the old AS textbook as well - no problem if you cannot do it as a listening because you dont have access to it, I always include transcripts for these so it can be done as a reading task or you could record yourself).

A ppt which covers the relevant language to teach Module 2.4 Qué hiciste ayer from the Viva 2 textbook. As the preterite tense was introduced a module ago, I created a range of mainly listening comprehension activities following Gianfranco Conti’s communicative approach. This lesson is thus very teacher-led at the start, engaging students in a different range of activities which go at a fast and dynamic pace. On the notes pane you will find instructions on how to conduct each activity. Answers also included.

This resource includes a 43 slide ppt presentation I prepared to teach the new Edexcel International GCSE 9-1 for my Year 5 (11) group. As the textbook isn’t great, I created a few extra resources to combine with working on the textbook. What’s included: resources for Unit 3: The world around us, which at the same time includes activities for section: 3B Shopping and money matters --> subsections 3B.1 to 3B.3. I have different bundles available on my profile for each textbook topic.

A resource created for pupils taking the Edexcel Spanish IGCSE 9-1 exam to train their grammar skills so that they can tackle the 10-point question with confidence and success. This bundle was specifically created for a very able, top set - good news is that it’s easily adaptable and so you can tweak it to your own pupils’ needs. The ppt includes 8 grammar questions (including a range of tenses such as present continous, imperfect tense, present subjunctive) and a cheat sheet for each of them to give pupils the chance to get extra support to look should they need it. Topics are: Los viajes escolares Los planes de futuro Las normas del instituto Mi infancia y adolescencia La vida en un pais hispanohablante El medio ambiente El trabajo voluntario La tecnologia I personally have done these questions with my year 11s before the final mocks and towards the end of the year, before they go on study leave.

A translation maze inspired on the language from pages 104 and 105 on the Viva 2 textbook, topic ‘que tipo de casa prefieres?’ (module 5.1). All instructions are on the resource, and should be displayed and explained to students before starting to play. Aim: to find your way out of the maze by shading a path of correct answers. You get out when your path connects the entrance with the exit boxes. If you don’t know this activity it has, in essence, the same principle as a bingo. It takes quite some time to run, as there are 18 different questions/rounds and children get very excited by shading the boxes and counting how many left they need to shade before they get out of the maze! The teacher should then check the answers (all included) of any child claiming to have got out of the maze: note they should be perfect or close to perfect translations to be able to call a winner. If you were to get through the 18 rounds and no one has managed to get out of the maze (unlikely), go back to question 1 and get them to translate the opposite sentence until someone can win. This activity tends to work wonders with any age group and is a nice alternative to bingo. It’s also easily editable - you might find the sentences I’ve used are too challenging for your class. On my profile you can find the same activity for Viva 1 - module 4.4 como es tu casa o piso? with vocabulary related to pages 86-87.

You can see what type of activities are included in the preview of the resource (main focus is on flamenco and the imperfect of subjunctive). Ideal if you have recently taught the present and perfect subjunctive and want to take it further.

Lesson I created specifically to get my GCSE students to be able to write and talk about an ideal holiday using the conditional form of verbs, but that could be used with any able year group. Materials included: a detailed lesson plan, ppt presentation with grammar activities + activities to cover all 4 skills plus a pdf differentiated booklet I created to give to the students to help themselves build their language according to their ability.

This bundle includes units 1 to 5 from "Mis vacaciones" unit in Mira 2. There are a range of activities to do in the classroom and also a few grammar worksheets, vocabulary tests for each unit at the end of every ppt presentation and a few slides that are meant to be dice pair games.
