The Endocrine System: Lesson powerpoint template

This was developed for a year 9 class in NSW to introduce the Endocrine system. This should only be part of a well planned lesson. Having a powerpoint is useful to me as a backdrop only to keep a lesson flowing and organised. Drop me some feedback please!

Verb: Transfunglobulate = Over explaining things :-)

Transfunglobulate: "Means to make something which ought to have been simple much less uncomplicated by way of not leaving it simple but going on and on about it to the extent that it is no longer simple but unnecessarily and boringly complexified without need" If you know the origin of this "sentence", please let me know. I memorised it as a kid, but have never seen it since!

This contains a video, presentation and an activity for students to undertake. The aim of the lesson is to understand how human activity is a very recent phenomenon on Earth. Possibly a good starter to an environmental unit, or as this was designed, as an introduction to Earth Science. Please leave feedback, and as always, use as part of a properly planned lesson!

DNA: Lesson bundle

This is designed for year 9/10 science and an introduction to DNA. This lesson may take two lessons, but if you have long lessons, you could probably get away with it. Presentation has 17 slides with clear images, with main point only - I always avoid using text heavy slides. Includes an activity involving food which kids always love. This activity is to show the connection between base pairs (A-T, G-C). As always, this should be just a part of a well planned lesson. Please leave feedback.
