It also allows students to use two equation : a=v-u/t and F=mxa. also allows students to practice rounding answers to 2 significant figures. You can differentiate this for lower ability. Equation of motion is part of Forces unit. Students need to be able to use the acceleration formula and manitpulate it to find initial velocity, final velocity as well as time. I have linked the lesson to Formula 1. Teachers can show short video as starter, lead a discussion in what makes the car super fast and how engineers are always trying to make the car fast. Students can be encouraged into researching careers in F1. I have attached markschemes so peer marking and feedback is instant. Students really enjoyed this lesson and almost all of them made fast progress with this lesson.
