In Task 1 students will read an informational text about Tutankhamun and then find their way through a maze by answering true or false comprehension questions. If they answer the questions correctly they will reveal their first word. In Task 2 students will complete a crossword puzzle by answering ten questions. Answering these questions correctly will reveal some hidden letters which need to be unscrambled to reveal the second word. In Task 3 students will sort 27 timeline task cards about the ancient civilization, putting them in order from the earliest date to the most recent. When they have finished their third word will be revealed. In Task 4 students will have to find the missing words in a wordsearch puzzle before finding a hidden word from the letters that are left over in the puzzle. In the second lesson the children need sort the facts in order before typing four draft paragraphs. Then, in the third lesson they need to choose the most important facts and include these in an introduction; after this they need to answer several questions before typing up their conclusion. In the final lesson your class will need to check their draft paragraphs before typing up their work on to the template provided. This activity is an online resource, that uses Google Slides, and is linked to your Google Drive. It can be completed by students online using tablets or computers. The resource also comes in a PDF format, which can be printed. Please ensure when you download this resource into Google Drive that you are logged in to the gmail account where you wish to store the activity.
