GCSE MFL: Reading and Listening Tips

PowerPoint introducing the near future tense with quiz at end.

Reading comprehension about holidays in future tense. Will use with my Y8s.

Powerpoint used with Y7 across a few lessons. To go alongside Metro 1. Talking about where you live - town, village, coast etc. What you live near to - shops, post office, station Intro to vocab, memory games, speaking, listening, reading, writing, translation activities

Rooms in the house. Used with Y7s. Teaches vocab for rooms, with a few activities. Hope it's useful. Any feedback is welcome Dannielle

Spanish: Se puede/you can worksheet

Powerpoint about family and relationships between family members. On slide 2 I asked students to think of examples for masculine and feminine words and to come and write them on the board with mon or ma. Slides 8 onwards is a gap fill activity which could be done on mini whiteboards.

Writing frame which I gave to my Year 8s to talk about holidays using the preterite. Vocab taken from Listos 2.

Technology vocab cards to be printed onto card and cut up. Print each set on different coloured card - makes it easier when they all get dropped on the floor!

Numbers 1-90 to print off and cut out. I put them in an envelope and pick numbers out at random and read out the numbers in Spanish (could be done for any language). I bought bingo cards really cheap from Wilkinsons instead of making my own.

Vocab cards to be cut out - could be used as dominoes or could up individually as a normal vocab match up. Print each set on different coloured card - makes it easier when they end up on the floor :)
