This is a fully differentiated lesson looking at how to write a review for level one and level two Functional Skills. The lesson uses the theme of TV shows to look at an example review, understand the conventions and also write an appropriate review for an exam-style assessment.
This lesson includes both reading and writing tasks and can be taught both remotely and face-to-face.

This is a fully differentiated lesson looking at the theme of homelessness for paper 2 of the English GCSE exam. This is an ideal lesson to introduce students to some of the main questions in the paper and how to respond to them effectively.
This is a 19 slide PowerPoint quiz for the WJEC Eduqas poetry anthology. The quiz has three separate rounds which help assess learners ability to: Recall key contextual information about the poets, Identify the missing elements from key quotations and assess who has an in-depth understanding of the poems and what they may need to work on in the future.

The booklet covers both the reading and writing elements of the functional skills course and builds on some of the most important skills to help learners stretch and challenge themselves to achieve.
