This is a full differentiated lesson looking at the poem, Belfast Confetti by Ciaran Carson. The lesson helps learners understand the context surrounding the poem and the techniques used by the poet to convey conflict within the poem.
The lesson has many opportunities for AFL and also has a cloze passage to help gauge learners’ comprehension of the poem. This lesson has been tried and tested with my own groups and can be taught either online or face-to-face with ease.
