All you need for a display about the Syrian Conflict; called what is humanity. Images, news articles, titles and facts... all correct as of Dec2016. I have since checked (DEC 2017) and all information is still accurate and relevant today. Although some of the figures will have risen; no one is exactly sure of the figures - most believe them to be double the reported amount.
These crackers can be made by young children as well as adults. I have made them with children as young as Year 5, no problem providing that each component is already measured and cut out for them.
Adults: you may make these for the dinner table as you can choose a nice gift for the inside instead of silly items, you can make each gift suit the person and label the cracker up as a dinner seating arrangement. The cracker snaps can easily be ordered on line and by replacing them each year, these crackers become re-cycleable.
Have fun...
Aimed at children aged 2 plus. An activity which can last from 15 minutes to 60 dependent upon how you use the activities suggested on the PowerPoint slides. Concentrates on the areas; Communication and Language, Literacy and Understanding the World.
These activities explore Costa Rica radiating from the central item: the Pineapple which grows in Costa Rica. Involves sensory activities, feeling, smelling and tasting the Pineapple on an attempt to encourage healthy fruit snack options for children.
Most children are thrilled to become the animals of Costa Rica, I have only included the 2 favorite animals in this PowerPoint but there are hundreds more to choose from such as Toucans, Snakes, Dragons…
Enjoy :)
A PowerPoint which explores the Lion’s family using key learning words: PRIDE, explaining it as children understand - Daddy & Mummy and baby: CUB. We touch upon the job roles of the two genders as well as how to recognise a LION from a LIONESS.
The PowerPoint was designed for and used with 2 year olds entitled ‘Family’ (EYFS - Communication & Language and Understanding the World) however it would also suit as a starter or revision activity for older children. Could also be used as a assembly.
