Tudor documentary : dangers in the home

What dangers did the Tudors face every day? Watch a great documentary on the dangers in the Tudor home and use these questions to help your students structure their notes. This documentary looks at the dietary problems caused by the introduction of sugar, the problems with the introduction of chimneys in the home, the increase in the number of recorded drownings and the unknown killer of infection, Tudor cures and knowledge of medicine. This covers 45mins and is suitable for all students. The last part of this documentary (included in the GCSE and above version) focuses on a sexually transmitted disease. Included are two versions of the documentary - one for KS3, which stops at around 45mins in (at the end of medicine and cures) and another for GCSE and above (which continues to the end of the documentary). The final part of the documentary discusses syphilis and sex and therefore, not recommended for KS3. Perfect for a cover lesson or to add depth and visual aids to your students learning.
