A detailed and engaging lesson all about how Christianity ended up splitting into the many denominations it boasts today. The lesson sees students first explore the origins of Christianity and how Rome eventually brought the religion to the mainstream, then they will study the tree of denominations before getting stuck into group tasks which actively show how groups can split off from each other due to having different interpretations of scripture and the influence of leaders. They will then complete reflection tasks before a writing task summarising what they have learned as the plenary. Risk, dares and online challenges PSHE Lesson. A one hour-long, very detailed, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for KS2. In this lesson, the students will discuss the concept of risk and risk-taking. We will look at how a small element of risk applies to most everyday activities. We will discuss the steps that people commonly take to lower these everyday risks such as wearing a helmet when cycling, or carefully reading the instructions when taking prescribed medicines. We will then take a closer look at dares and online challenges. We will discuss the risks and dangers involved in a series of examples, and discuss strategies for resisting peer pressure.
