A fully resourced lesson which could be used in PSHCE or as over a week of Tutor Time sessions, investigating the climate change protests. Students will discover who Extinction Rebellion and Greta Thunberg are, what they and similar groups and people are trying to achieve, why the urgency and why some people oppose some of the current methods of protest. Students will then form their own views on whether peaceful protest is really enough in the face of a global climate emergency. This resource pack includes a one hour long PowerPoint with accompanying information pack and worksheets, well differentiated activities, literacy focus tasks, clip tasks with three-way differentiated questions and debate task. The resources are all in the ZIP file, the images have been uploaded so you can clearly see an example on Tes of some of the contents. The lesson has been left editable and is filled with engaging, well differentiated and fun activities. It is useful for PSHE, Citizenship or Tutor Time. As with all our lessons, you don’t need any prior knowledge as all the information is included - you can just pick up and teach it.
