A fully differentiated and resourced lesson for KS3 and KS4 students that looks at science fiction and descriptive writing skills through H G Wells’ description of the time machine from his novel of the same name.
An easy to use reading comprehension pack with three sections of differentiated questions. This activity focuses on Trump and all the crazy/interesting recent events of his presidency. It can be used in form time as part of literacy focus, or in an English lesson for KS3/4 GCSE comprehension training.

Power and Conflict - Comparing Ozymandias and Remains
A fully differentiated and resourced lesson that looks at two Power and Conflict poems: Remains by Simon Armitage and Ozymandias by Percy Shelley. The lesson helps students to make comparisons between the two and approach the poems through common themes, as well as looking at the use of voice, structure and message.
The Tempest William Shakespeare language genre lesson that looks the use of prose and blank verse in Act 3 Scene 1 and Act 3 Scene 2 of the play. We explore how non-rhyming iambic pentameter is employed by Elizabethan and Jacobean writers to indicate class and status, and evaluate why Caliban has been given the gift of blank verse. We also look at the link between his use of language and Michel de Montaigne’s writings.
