There are four sets of puzzles, each set is slightly different. CVCC words have final blend missing and CCV/CCVC are missing the initial blends (words using sets 1-7 letters – orange, words using Phase 3 graphemes – purple)
CVCC/CCCVC/CCCVCC are missing both beginning and final and finally the polysyllabic is matching the syllables to the picture.
The idea is that the coloured puzzle piece are sorted by the pictures which has that sound in the word. They then make the sound when put together either using the black and white base or without to make it challenging. Some sounds have word puzzles (__ick, s___t) and may have the same pictures on both letters for that sound.
Colour the words to make the sentence for the picture. Then have a go at writing it underneath. These match the picture and sentence matching.
Great to use in class or to send home.
The flowers are my own design. Each one has a common exception word. Ideal for displaying with the Phonics Forest which i have for sale.
