A fun visual game that can be played in small groups, pairs or individually. There are four boards in total. Each board has it own set of word cards. Players pick a word card from a box or similar or turn a card over. They then read the word and find the picture of that word. Once they find it they can put a counter or similar onto it. If playing with more than one players, then each player will need their own set of coloured counters. Could also be used in connect 4 type games.

For displaying the Year 2 Common Exception Words. Some words have a picture to go with them to help aid comprehension of the word. Would work perfectly with the Phonic Forest i have for sale. UPDATE: Cursive Version has now been included.

There is a tree for each sound that has 2 or more ways of writing that sound. Made from a combination of sounds from RWI and Letters and Sounds. Trees have pictures and/or words for each sound that is on the tree. Perfect for displaying sound families. There are 31 trees in total.

Six files are included: set 1-2 words set 1-3 words set 1-4 words set 1-5 words sounds tricky words Either label cars with the words or sounds for a matching activity or sound out the word or say the sound and players park their car in the correct bay. Alternative use the word boards and players park their car in the bay that rhymes with the word you say.

Based on snakes and ladders there are 8 boards covering the Common Exception Words for Year 1. There are 4-6 different words on each board. Just follow the direction of the sub when you land on the square.

This pack contains spelling sheets for the sounds and words listed in the Speed Sounds Book for the set 2 sounds. They are similar to the look, cover, write, check but with a twist. Pupils get to practice the writing in different ways such as joining the dots, rainbow writing and colourful writing before covering and having a go. Cursive version also included.

A bit different to the normal matching that is available elsewhere, as there is for each sound approx 2 - 6 pictures and sentences for each phase 5 sound . The sentence in some cases are also a bit silly i.e A lime with a smile... A hive with a smile. I've only change 1 or 2 words in each sentence so makes the children read for comprehension. Can also use the pictures for sentence writing, or read the sentences and draw the picture to go with it. 105 sentences and matching pictures in total.

Sounds boards combine two lots of sounds as well as sound boards (word time! 1& 2, word time! 3&; 4, word time 5& 6). Words are also included for Word Time! 7 which are over a few boards. This pack includes all the sounds and words for Set 2 sounds as in the Read Write Inc Speed Sounds Book. How to play Play as a group or in pairs. Players close or cover their eyes. Adult or chosen child hides one of the frog (Fred) cards underneath a lily pad. Players take turns to guess which lily pad by saying the sound or word that’s on the lily pad. Winner hides the frog next.
