A friend of mine asked for some printable templates to help her grandchildren improve their handwriting skills.
As a result I have created these Victorian Modern Cursive Templates for you to download and print out.
They work most effectively when laminated so that they can be used over and over.
Please let me know if you would like these made up in any other specific font and I'll see what I can do.

Give your students the tools they need for great writing.
Every good story is written around what is called Story Elements. These elements are interlocked and guide the story from the beginning to the end. Students will identify the 5 story elements; character, setting, plot, conflict, and theme from the chapter book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl. Identifying story elements are useful in assisting readers in building an understanding of the text.
Responding to literature can be fun and creative. There are many methods for students to use when responding to a piece of literature. This activity will focus on thank you note writing. This will allow students to write from first person point of view. This shows educators what students understand about a text as students reveal their thinking, feelings, and reactions to the literature they have read.
Ease the writing process, turn your students into skilled self-editors, and give yourself a quick grading tool with our easy-to-use, fully-editable writing checklists.

If you’re teaching narrative and story writing, these checklists and rubrics will give your students direction and clear goals to help them successfully express themselves. Each handout contains a student checklist for independent assessment and a student/teacher rubric for conferencing. With six checklists to a page, you can quickly print and distribute them as they are, or edit them to suit your specific needs.
We split this bundle into three age levels: Junior (ages 5-7), Middle (ages 7-11), and Senior (ages 11-15). Additionally, we stylized and worded each level to appeal to each age group. We are currently developing more checklists for other writing styles – if you buy this now, you can get those for free upon release by re-downloading this pack.
This is an effective yet simple tool to help your students develop into great writers with great habits, and will undoubtedly become a go-to reference throughout the year, as it has for the teachers who developed it.
