Kids learn about the butterfly lifecycle, while creating this 3D butterfly. Stand on its own or turn it into a mobile. Different versions are available so you can choose whether to include tracing, reading, sticking or colouring elements.
Find and stick craft
Children make a fun fold out card with a fat caterpillar full of food. Great for practising food vocabulary in the story. Follow the activity suggestions for ways to maximise language practice.

Sequencing Cards
Follow the suggestions for games you can play to consolidate key story language, days of the week and food. Black and white options are included so that kids can make their own sets and take them home to play with their families. These also work great in literacy stations and for retelling the story in pairs or groups.

Board game pieces can be dragged and dropped as the players move from START to FINISH. The games can be played as part of an online teaching or therapy session or set as an assignment for independent play and study. Physical dice can be used but we suggest using a virtual dice or virtual spinner. Simply have it open in your browser on another tab separate from your boomlearning page.
Audio is recorded in Scottish Standard English. This may be useful for listen and repeat game play, for literacy support with the text boards or for independent use. Game play suggestions are included for ideas on dynamic game play to maximise language use.
Within each game type, there are 2 boards:
Board 1 - The fruit the caterpillar eats in the story.
Board 2 - The complete food collection that the caterpillar eats.
Especially useful for ESL, EAL, EFL and teletherapy sessions.
