With this resource students will be able to demonstrate their mastery and understanding of measuring in both centimeters and meters. There are 20 sorting cards for students to place and group with the most appropriate measurement. Students can either put the cards in a group together or record their findings on the recording sheet. If you would like the students to self mark, I have also included a marking sheet. Mazes help fine motor control. Mazes require your students to control their pencils through the maze without hitting the black lines. This means that they must take their time rather than rushing, in order to have greater success. Progress can be observed as your students bump into the black lines less and less as they gain greater control of their writing utensils. Students use fine motor control in order to produce correct letter formation and legible handwriting. Mazes are great for problem solving: Mazes help your students to work on their executive functioning skills, such as planning and brainstorming various strategies (e.g. starting from the beginning of the maze or working backwards from the end of maze). The Winter Olympics is here This STEM challenge includes both an engineering challenge and sheets for students to work out the median, mean, range and mode in the context of creating the fastest Luge.. Students are asked to both record and graph their results. This challenge is perfect for the Olympic games and includes everything you need to actively engage your students in team work.

This fun and engaging Game is huge with over 100 general knowledge questions including sport, music, math, movies and pop culture. The games shuffle ability assures that no two games are ever the same which means you can use the same resource in a lot more than once. Also ideal for a regular class to bond with your class, build class relationships or just waste a tough afternoon. It has a range of questions from easy to hard to include everyone. I typically put the class into small groups and ask a member of the group to choose a color and number. That is the question that they have to answer. If correct they get one point. Then I move to the next group. Alternatively the whole class answers and then we tally up the points to get a winner. I run it on an interactive whiteboard but would be equally successful on a projector, computer or TV screen. Alternatively it could be run for an individual student on their own device. When you start the game press the shuffle button to randomize the questions ensuring that no game is ever the same. This means that this Jeopardy game can be used multiple times with the one class as it is different every time. This is a PowerPoint Macro Show. To run the game double click the file and make sure you say "yes" to running macros. If you do not the questions will not shuffle correctly. I have tested on a PC but it should work on other devices.
