This session covers Report writing and is linked to the new FS spec. It has been carefully animated with stunning graphics and movements and has an example report, formative tasks which include a Macro-enabled labelling task (tiles can be moves in ppt show, see slide notes for brief instructions).
It’s based on one of my previous sessions, which is doing quite well - so I thought I’d offer a variation/revision version.
Aimed for online delivery but would also be great in a classroom.
Session plan included.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! =-)
**Please be aware that these have been created in Microsoft Office 365 - they will work in older versions but the older it gets, the less advanced they will be - in terms of the visuals, transitions and animations. **
This lovely looking ppt and handout set is best used with a bolt load of free brochures from The Brochure Bank online. Order as many as you need and they are delivered within 48 hours - free!
Practise writing skills, using language features, taking notes from videos and writing persuasive and informative postcards.
This leads nicely into Report writing - simply get my session or create one to follow removing the persuasive elements. This lesson is also good because some of the new C&G writing questions are mixing purposes.
This Reading session has been designed for Online delivery and has formative assessment tasks which are macro-enabled slides. Let your students take control in Teams and lead the tasks! There is also a summative Word document task which has text boxes for Online use but it can be written on, if printed.
Session plan included.
Carefully animated with step-by-step animations to aid delivery and will be part of my Neon Reading set - keep a look out for it!

Part of my Neon Reading Collection, this one has been visually matched and carefully animated, step-by-step, to aid delivery and questioning. Session plan included.
There is a link to GCSE, here, so this is aimed more at L2, however, there’s nothing like a stretch and challenge.

This session covers Speech Writing with an example response - Marco-enable powerpoint slides with moveable highlighting strips to highlight language features and a summative task.
It has an embedded speech and it was intended for use online. Carefully animated with step-by-step animations and transitions, to make it visually impressive and aid delivery and questioning. It has also been created with the new spec FS quals in mind.
Session plan included.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! =-)

This is a quick session which should last roughly 1.5 hours - on and offline. It contains two Marco-enabled sorting activities which are great for use with touch screens, in class, and for online delivery. See slide notes for brief instructions.
It has been carefully animated, has a sample response (sadly based on Friends) and has a summative assessment task for which students need to write a formal character reference.
Session plan included.

This double session is intended for 3 hours but could be extended over a few sessions and contains 40 slides & an 8 page hand out. It is meant to follow my Language Features intro’ session and then features the main acronym running through all my resources.
Effectively, students create a language guide to carry forward through the year, or for revision at home.
Explore both fictional and nonfictional features of language -

This is quite detailed and is essentially 2-3 sessions in one. It is littered with task boxes and guided annotations via step-by-step/click-by-click animations. There are two main ways for delivery, either teacher-led or student-led.
Teacher-led, requires a prescriptive approach: providing the annotations and answers upfront. This can get quite monotonous but splitting it up will be necessary. Approaching this way, would be an introductory approach.
Student-led requires the opposite: holding back the answers and annotations and letting students find them, either independently or together, before providing any answers.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! =-)
This session covers Comparisons - it has two documents to work with and a number of formative tasks, some of which are macro-enabled slides which are interactive during the live presentation.
With the intent of using them Online, they are great for remote teaching, with step-by-step animations to aid delivery and questioning. Also great for use with a touch screen in classes.
It has a 2 page Word document hand out which has text boxes for Online use but which can also be printed. Session plan included.
