Week 4 of 12- A historical lesson on the societal hierarchy of Ancient Egypt, from slaves to pharaohs! This product contains an 18-slide Teaching PowerPoint and 2 main tasks that can be printed or completed digitally via PDF copies. The PPT guides students through learning the key roles of ancient Egyptian society: Pharaoh, vizier, nobles, scribes, priests, soldiers, craftsmen, farmers and slaves. There's a background assembly powerpoint to create a backdrop (including links to sound effects etc), the lyrics to a version of 'Gold' by Spandeau Ballet with the lyric changed to 'STONE!' (much comedy), and the script. On the script document, there's also a helpful table to write down who's who.

A class assembly for Key Stage 2 on the Victorians and their inventions in the style of an episode of Dragon’s Den. This class assembly lasts for 15 minutes and includes 18 roles that range from having a single line up to having 6. In the pack, you will receive the PDF copy and an editable Word Document format. In order to edit this document and maintain the formatting, you must install the two fonts also included in this download. The inventions include the telephone, the flushable toilet, the lightbulb and a flop- the Hotchkiss Bicycle Railroad. The dragons include Deborah Meaden, Peter Jones and Duncan Bannatyne. This is a set of resources that I use for my year 3 and 4 group. They are Egyptian themed so that they can link in with humanities topic. Shape poems are a great introduction to writing in a poetic structure for children, and the shapes offered in this pack are: canopic jars, a sarcophagus and a pyramid. Week 5 of 12- An exploration of daily life as an Egyptian slave, a merchant and a nobleman in the ancient Egyptian civilization. Children will create a daily schedule and engage in drama activities to immerse in the topic. This product contains an 24-slide Teaching PowerPoint and 4 main tasks that can be printed or completed digitally via PDF copies. The PPT guides students through learning the key details about daily life as 3 different sects of society: Slaves, merchants and nobles. The first task sees children reading and understanding definitions of topical vocabulary, then matching them up to the words using the worksheets included in this pack.
