Week 5 of 12- An exploration of daily life as an Egyptian slave, a merchant and a nobleman in the ancient Egyptian civilization. Children will create a daily schedule and engage in drama activities to immerse in the topic. This product contains an 24-slide Teaching PowerPoint and 4 main tasks that can be printed or completed digitally via PDF copies. The PPT guides students through learning the key details about daily life as 3 different sects of society: Slaves, merchants and nobles. The first task sees children reading and understanding definitions of topical vocabulary, then matching them up to the words using the worksheets included in this pack. Week 6 of 6- A no-prep lesson that explores mixed media collage, combining all skills taught in this unit to create a final piece. Additionally, children in grades 1-3 will learn how to evaluate their efforts and complete learning journals. Children in grades 1-3 will learn to critique peer’s artwork kindly and use high-level artistic vocabulary to describe their own work. A perfect art unit for Autumn, Spring or Summer!
