Eduqas PowerPoint annotations for all 18 poems
I have collated my annotations for all 18 Eduqas poems onto one PowerPoint. Each slide is animated with the annotations appearing with each mouse click to work through each poem chronologically. Naturally, teachers will want to adapt the annotations to suit the abilities of their students but this PowerPoint acts as a great starting point.
The annotations were aimed at lower ability sets working towards grades 4 and 5.

A to Z of Word Classes
To help students consolidate their knowledge of word classes, I ask students to try and compile an A to Z list of different word classes.
Here is an example of suggested answers with A to Z for verbs, abstract nouns, adjectives, adverbs and prepositions. I have had to be a little creative for the letters X and Z!

Macbeth Top 30 Quotations Revision
A 76 slide PowerPoint that systematically goes through 30 key quotations from the play chronologically.
Students are given the quotation and a prompt question to discuss. The next slide offers analysis of the quotation. This process is repeated for all 30 quotations.
The worksheet is used at the end to check how much information students have retained.

Using Show not Tell to convey a character's emotions
A worksheet to help guide students on how use show not tell to convey a character’s emotions.
Students study the way ‘show not tell’ is used in the 5 sample paragraphs which cover 5 different emotions. I recommend putting these examples under a visualiser.
I then ask students to produce their own paragraph in the same style selecting from a choice of 4 complex emotions.
