Crime and Punishment through Islam - Entire Topic for Edexcel Spec B Religious Studies GCSE

8 Resources
Hello, These lessons are designed for my year 10s to cover the second topic ‘Crime and Punishment’ for the NEW Edexcel GCSE RS Spec B ‘Religion, Peace and Conflict through Islam’. Lessons includes starter activity, learning objectives, differentiated tasks, engaging videos and images, stretch and challenge activities, exam questions, direct reference to scripture and denominations if applicable. They are based on the textbook written by Ahmedi (2016). You will need it for some tasks. The Scheme of Work recommends we spend 2 hours on each subtopic however due to time constraints I have created 1 lesson per sub topic apart from Lesson 1. I did this so we could fast track our current year 10 as need to get the course finished. I hope you find these useful and if you need anything at all please do ask and I will get back to you soon as possible. Many thanks, Mel

Hello, These lessons are designed for my year 9s and 10s to cover the second topic ‘Marriage and the Family’ for the Edexcel GCSE RS Spec B ‘Religion and Ethics through Christianity’. I have 2 hours per week with my year 9s but 1 hour with year 10 so I have uploaded the doubles but they can be condensed into one lesson if needed. Each lesson includes starter activity, learning objectives, differentiated tasks, engaging videos and images, stretch and challenge activities, exam questions, direct reference to scripture and denominations. I have also included the ‘Revision Pack’ which contains the Personal Learning Checklist & Core Knowledge Summary Sheet. Hello, I have created… A double sided key knowledge revision sheet with all the key subject knowledge for each section of the topic. A Personal Learning Checklist A3 Revision Worksheet to accompany the Key Knowledge Sheet and PLC. The content is based on the textbook ‘Religion and Ethics through Christianity’ (2016, Reid and Tyler)endorsed by Edexcel. Christian Beliefs GCSE Booklet - Revision or Home Learning

Hello fellow teachers, This booklet resource was created for my GCSE students during lockdown, I have found this to be a great way of ensuring that all students have what they need despite working in the classroom or at home. I have continued to use this resource now we have gone back to in school teaching and I have seen a significant improvement in students using religious information in their exam answers. Each student has a printed copy and then I upload a digitial copy online using Google Classroom so they have access at home too. The booklet contains: Title Page Contents Page Personal Learning Checklist using the Edexcel Specification B Core Knowledge Organiser Lessons 1-8 information including scripture Key word glossary Practice Exam Questions My year 11s can now use this booklet as a revision resource too as it contains everything that they need to go over core content. If you have any questions please feel free to drop me an email on lady_mel@hotmail.co.uk All the best, Melissa

Manchester Terror Attack and Radicalisation - SMSC

Hello, I have created this PPT to be used during mentor/form time. It allows students to have a safe space to discuss what happened in Manchester and to question how this could happen. It then leads to a clip from the BBC interviewing a man who is becoming de-radicalised, discussion questions and then signs to spot. Final question gets students to think about British Values. I hope you find this useful, Mel

British Values - invites students to identify what they are and how they can be linked to this incident. I have also typed notes about how each one can be linked in case there is any doubt.
