One of the hardest elements of teaching can be finding good quality resources that don't overcomplicate what you are teaching. I am all about breaking down resources into small steps so children understand whilst also appreciating teachers don't need too much or overcomplicated material to deliver their lessons. A range of tried and tested English, maths and wider curriculum resources focused on Years 4, 5 and 6. High quality resources from an experienced primary teacher.

Retrieval activity that focuses on chapter four of Ted Hughes the Iron Man book. Great activity midway through the book that focuses on the retrieve and record reading domain. Questions are presented in different ways such as recording full answers, ticking answers, matching up answers and true/false statements. Smart notebook presentation is provided to guide through the questions. This also has a dictation fluency activity to start (answers at the end of the smart notebook), a retrieval starter activity using a video and an example text to work through before moving onto The Iron Man text. A retrieval resource kept simple, but that zeros in on precision when reading and recording information.
