The purpose of this resource is to make students recollect, reflect, value and feel positive about what they do in school. This activity, when completed at the end of the day or as and when the time permits during the day in class allows students to recapitulate what they have learnt and to cement on their understanding. The important feature of this resource is that it can be printed and distributed to students at the beginning of every week as a booklet including the reflection journal sheets for all five days of the week and they can be collected at the end of the day. On Friday, students can take these booklets home and show their learning to their parents, of which both parents and their children can be proud. Pedagogically, this activity aims to inculcate in students the following: 1. the value of learning 2. a sense of pride in what they have learnt, which may contribute to their self-efficacy and self-esteem 3. planning for further action and 4. an evaluation of where they stand in the process of learning at school.
