These French film resources are used to introduce, analyse and discuss the general topic of film and, in addition, the films on the WJEC GCE A2 syllabus. Students are introduced to general film vocabulary as well as film specific vocabulary. Detailed viewing exercises are designed to exploit the main themes in each film. In addition, the content of each film is used to practise grammatical points, translation skills and essay work adhering to the WJEC mark scheme. The resources promote whole class discussion as a result of individual research and listening and reading tasks.
This collection of interactive resources have been produced to support an after-school club named the Coyote Club. The resources explore topics such as feelings, emotions, family, hobbies, positive thinking and consequences. The resources can be used as standalone activities, or embedded into lessons to enhance learning.
This resource will allow you to carry out an investigation into the impact of the Industrial Revolution upon the people of Flintshire. You will find a series of picture sources and some more complex additional sources to help you complete this task. The eventual aim is to answer the following question: How did life change for the people of Flintshire during the Industrial Revolution?
This unit has been developed to raise awareness of energy wastage at home and in school.The unit is split into three sections.
1. Huddling penguins – to develop pupils’ investigative skills while learning about how animals adapt to their environment.
2. Energy from fuels – looking at different forms of renewable and non-renewable energy. Pupils carry out an investigation to find which fuel produces the most energy.
3. Conservation of energy – looking at how we waste energy in the school and at home and pupils investigate ways of conserving energy.
This unit uses animation to explain the formation of hanging valleys.
Processes such as plucking and abrasion are exemplified and images from Snowdonia and beyond are used to show how these processes have created the landscape.
A unit of work focused on the research and development of small sculptures using recycled materials. The work of a variety of artists using this medium can be explored before completing the activity with powerpoints and documents supporting project work and providing step-by-step procedures for teachers and students.

A series of activities to develop the pupils skills as they prepare. Emphasis is placed on the importance of hygiene in food preparation. Pupils are given the opportunity to investigate readymade meals on the market. There’s an opportunity to develop number when weighing readymade foods and measuring their area. After creating a brief, there are a series of videos to introduce making skills as the pupils prepare and cook in the classroom. Literacy units which use Fuse Creator software, creating interactive activities, including animations and sound. The units within the course are designed for entry level learners (1-3) within 14-19. Within the tasks there are questions, an opportunity for corrections and help sheets. Once completed, each unit is scored which may be printed and used within a portfolio.
