This unit encourages learners to consider some of the factors that may affect healthy lifestyles such as diet and exercise. A variety of open-ended activities invite learners to think of their own ideas and to reflect on some of the choices available to them. The unit focuses explicitly on some Welsh foods and the availability and flavours of locally produced foods.

The following activities will allow non-specialists to introduce digital video editing using the DMC cameras. The lessons give staff and pupils easy to follow guidelines to allow them to produce an advert. Pupils will learn the skills of non-linear report writing and editing for a purpose. This can be taught across the curriculum and is an ideal opportunity for implimenting ICT as a key skill.

Here are 4 Classroom Ensembles to be used during Year 7 and are original compositions by Jenny Rimmer. Each ensemble contains a variety of differentiated parts for tuned & untuned percussion instruments, Keyboard and orchestral instruments. Instrumental resources in each school vary and the teacher is given complete freedom to modify which instrument plays the various parts. Pupils, most certainly, should be encouraged to bring in orchestral instruments to the lessons and a number of the ensembles include parts for instruments in B and E flat.
