My resources are designed and used in class before being added to TES to ensure they are engaging, fit for purpose and enrich children’s learning. Updated for 2019!
NEW - Now includes ‘steps to success’ to be modelled with the children so they can work more independently.
The worksheets are small step lessons that are differentiated into fluency, apply and challenge tasks. The bundle includes: working wall LO’s, differentiated small steps tasks based on the White Rose Math Hub model, a pre-assessment task (which identifies if a child is ready to start at the fluency or apply level) and a final assessment task. Each worksheet includes a quick mark option where you can identify if a child has had further support (FS - guided group), individual support (S), worked independently (I), or requires same day intervention (SDI). You can also provide feedback by highlighting if they are ready to move onto the apply task, challenge or need more fluency, as well as giving a grade for their overall presentation (e.g. A, B or C), if they need to do corrections and which number formations they need help with.
All documents are Word documents so they can be edited and modified for your own class. It also includes a blank template so you can create additional resources.

Year 1 - Building Site (Non-Chronological Report)
Updated for 2019.
This unit worked really well with my class and the children (especially the boys) loved writing about construction vehicles. Differentiated learning objectives and helpful presentations, notebooks and unit plan to help deliver the unit.
In this unit, about the “Rainforest” you will refine your sketching skills through the inspiring works of the renowned French artist Henri Rousseau. Rousseau, known for his lush jungle landscapes and dreamlike scenes, provides a rich tapestry of imagery that serves as the foundation for this engaging and immersive art experience.
The unit is structured to progressively build sketching proficiency, starting with fundamental exercises that focus on observational skills and understanding the basic elements of Rousseau’s compositions. As the unit unfolds, the students will experiment with various sketching techniques and shading methods, to bring Rousseau’s enchanting jungle motifs to life on paper.
