This resource can be used as a complete lesson. It is in the form of a quiz in which students use a clue to guess the name of a black role model. Once the answer is revealed there is a short video clip to explain why the person is identified as a black role model. It is designed to last for one full lesson or alternatively for a form group to work through throughout the month (exploring one role model each day)
This lesson/quiz presents a positive and current exploration of black role models for black history month.
There are 12 individual Role models for students to explore, including:
Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
David Olusoga
Mawa Theatre Company
Percy Julian
This is a 15 minute whole school presentation and activity on the theme of Human Rights. It is used during form time to explore the theme of the week (see theme of the week planner) or can be adapted for assembly
