Worksheets Adverbs and Adverbial Phrases Sort (1) and (2) – Students sort the adverbs and adverbial phrases under the correct headings. Worksheet – Tasks A and B: Match Up activity. Students draw lines to match up a sentence to a suitable adverbial phrase. Worksheet – Using Adverbials (1) – Students write the beginning of their sentences and then tick any of the eight adverbial phrases to finish off. An example is given on the worksheet. Worksheet – Using Adverbials (2) – This worksheet follows on from Adverbials (1) in that students rewrite their sentence but place the adverbial phrase at the beginning remembering to use the comma.
