A 74 page booklet for students to revise and prepare for Paper 1 of the AQA English Language exam. The booklet includes six extracts and six practice exam papers for students to work through. Extracts taken from: ‘Of Mice and Men’, ‘A Monster Calls’, ‘The Graveyard Book’, ‘Rebecca’, ‘The Great Gatsby’ and ‘The Goldfinch’. After each paper I have included a student reflection sheet for students to evaluate how well they did on question 4. Also inlcluded is a revision mat for question 4 as well as some writing prompts. AQA state that students should be taught to read and analyse the whole text independently to prepare them for the exam. I found that using a similar planning grid for Paper 1, Section A really helped to give students a route into the text.
