Digestion in Humans - Order the Stages [Suitable for Online]

(0)
This worksheet is split into two parts. The first involves putting the stages of digestion in order from 1-7 and the second part involves highlighting the key organs in each part and then naming the five parts shown. This worksheet is suitable for both online work (as a doc shared in Google Classroom for example) and as a printed worksheet. A black and white copy is available on the second page for the latter. Extra Ideas to Accompany: Upon review have the children point to a diagram or model and talk through the process. Have the children make a model of the digestive system using plastercine, fabrics or even junk around the house or garden. Why not download one of my other digestive system worksheets.
A Country in Asia Fact File

A Country in Asia Fact File

(0)
The idea for this worksheet is that the children select a country from Asia to research and fill in the geographical facts. For example, population, capital, languages, land area, currency, religion etc. There is also a space for drawing and colouring in the flag and the background of the worksheet is a map of Asia, so children can also draw an arrow and/or colour in their chosen country. The worksheet helps children gain a broader perspective of the world and a chance to compare to their own country. It’s also a great starting point for a more in depth study of a particular country. The document is fully editable so you can change any information you please.

Includes basic information, family tree section, interesting facts, favourites, important moments, inspirations and more. Also has a final section where they can jot down ideas about what and where they would like to be when they are 25 years old. The profile form is fully editable as DOC and also comes ready in PDF format.
Google Earth - Scavenger Hunt

Google Earth - Scavenger Hunt

(0)
This fun activity involves children using Google Earth to find a variety of places or things around the world. They aren’t specific places per se, but generally places. Examples include a football stadium, cactus, iceberg etc. The idea of having generic places and things to find is that the children generally aren’t able to just do a text search. They have to actively seek and find! Children can either using a snipping tool or PrtSc (Print Screen) to save a picture of the place/thing or they could provide the coordinates of their find. This could either work as an individual competition - see who can find all the places in the quickest time. Or it could be done as a collective effort - the whole class working to find the different places before the time runs out. I hope your children enjoy it as much as mine did!

This worksheet contains pictures of all 8 planets in our solar system with their names. The idea is for the children to cut them up and stick them in the correct position in order from the sun. Simple, fun and effective way for children to remember their order. As an additional task they could make up their own mnemonic to help them more easily remember their order. I hope you like this resource! Please leave a review if you have a moment. Thank you.

A3 Board Game Template [Fully Editable]

(0)
The first part of this A3 board game document is based on Snakes and Ladders. The board is fully editable, with the ability to type in the spaces as well as move around the snakes and ladders. The second part of the document contains the same board, but this time with question mark spaces and fully editable question cards to use with it. This way, the board game can be used in a variety of different subjects. Children really love using the board games to review topics. I’ve used it in English, science and maths as well as other subjects. The ability to answer a question allows the student to roll the die again and the snakes and ladders add that extra element of fun and luck to the game. Children can use anything as counters in the game. We usually have a mishmash of coins, pencil sharpeners and erasers. As you can see from the preview, the board game itself is very colourful. However, I’ve also included black and white versions of each game if you need to cut costs a bit. I hope your children enjoy it as much as mine do. If you like it, please kindly leave a review. Thank you.

Odd and Even Number Maze

This simple worksheet involves children colouring in the paths of both the odd and even numbers. There is more than one route to follow for each but also several dead ends, so it’s important children plan properly before committing to colouring the squares in. It serves as a fun way to reinforce and check the children’s ability to understand odd and even numbers. It also allows chance to easily circulate as they colour to further check understanding.

Comparing and Ordering Fractions [Designed for Online]

(0)
This worksheet could be printed out, but was designed to be completed by children online in Google Docs. It’s made up of 4 questions, a bonus and an extension task. Each question involves a table shape with different numbers of cells shaded different colours. Children have to identify the fraction of each of the colours shaded. It builds in difficulty up to where the children then have to place the fractions in order of size. The bonus question involves ordering fractions with different denominators. It’s great for use in Google Classroom where every child gets their own copy. You can then easily check their individual progress live and then check their results.

A3 Board Game Template [Fully Editable]

(0)
This colourful A3 board game is fully editable. You can change the contents of any of any square on the board. There are so many ways you an adapt this for different lessons. Here are a few examples… a) Maths Write calculations in each box for the children to solve b) Reading Write tricky phonics words or as I have done with this other uploads on here, write word endings and beginnings. You could also have the children use the word in context in a sentence or explain its definition etc. c) Science Write questions relating to your topic in the box, or add in question spaces where children have to pick up a card with a question on. You could even get the class to create their own question cards. All you need for the game is a dice and between 2-5 players. Each of the ideas above follow the same style game play. That is, if you are able to solve the problems or read the words in the space you land on, then you are able to remain there. If not, then you go back to where you were before you rolled. You can also get creative and add in your own special spaces such as miss a go or roll again. Or you can get really creative and add in special reasons. For example, you helped a friend in need, move forward four spaces, or you fell off your bike and broke your head, miss a go. etc.
