The pack includes a news report, differentiated research sheets and supporting power point and LOTS more! It is suitable for US grades 3-5 or UK key stage 2

After watching the project-based learning introductory video, pupils discuss what the video is about and complete a video response activity to create an infographic, ordering numbers chronologically.
Pupils use the numerical data from the video to create a timeline of the information related to previous and future Summer games. They will translate the numbers into different number forms. Using this information they compare the data over the years, drawing mathematical inferences using inequalities, and predict the data for the Paris 2024 Games.
This no prep interdisciplinary lesson includes a full lesson plan to make teaching place value form easy in an authentic context. It meets standards in math, reading, social studies, and technology and is super fun! Your students will hardly feel like they are learning!

Looking to improve your learners’ comprehension in reading? These nonfiction reading comprehension passages come as paired text. They include 2 authentic newspaper articles about the Summer Games. Both reading passages are at a Primary 5 ( Key Stage 2) level and approaching grade level. There are reading comprehension questions for each informational text and an additional differentiated worksheet with 4 questions for comparing the 2 reading passages.
Practice fluency and all the main comprehension skills with these fun informational texts, while exposing kids to authentic reading material. By changing things up using these newspaper articles, I find pupils have a sense of purpose when completing the questions.
The passages would be a great supplement for teaching about the summer games in your reading lessons. Pick and choose how you want to use them. You can use the passages as close reading material for the week, homework, or for test prep. They are most appropriate for Primary 4-5 pupils.
