This challenge was based on my free maths murder massacre resource. Thanks for all the downloads and feedback.
This version features a new mystery for students to solve using mathematics, non-verbal reasoning & computing skills (cryptography).
It is the night of the Celebrity awards, however aTrophy has gone missing. A celebrity has made off with it in a getaway vehicle to a top-secret location and posted a Selfie on Twitter & Instagram of his ill-gotten gains.
Can you solve the mystery?
Features well known celebrities, popular getaway vehicles and the latest mobile that all students will know and love.
I’ve made it accessible for key stage 2 and 3 students (may be a little to easy for KS4), and packaged it as a presentation as well as including pdf versions so it can be distributed.
All funds raised by the sale of this resource will be donated to the NSPCC
This presentation contains information on the fetch decode execute cycle. It starts off with an analogy and then proceeds to explain the cycle in layman’s terms so any student can understand it.
Follows a technical explanation, introducing the program counter, accumulator, MBR, CIR and MAR. I have also included some questions at the end to check that students have a firm understanding of the process.
Additionally I've added some fun activities to the presentation; a matching up activity and some anagrams containing all of the main keywords for them to unscramble. These make great lesson starters.
Cambridge and OCR students will also find it useful as there is much crossover.
A bargain at only £1!

Enjoy
This AS Computing Comp1 Mega pack contains a PowerPoint revision presentation (over 100 slides), a word search, a crossword, a match up activity, and a word scramble/anagram (answers in a separate files).
The activities are perfect for last minute revision for exams, as a lesson starter or as an interactive activity to get the whole class involved. All feedback is welcome and let me know what I can do to make this resource better!
I developed this for AQA Students, but Cambridge and OCR students will also find it useful as there is much crossover. A2 Students may also find it useful to go over topics from the previous year.

A collection of 9 sets of A-Level Computing anagrams with answers attached in the separate files of course (these are all focused on Comp 3)
Makes for good fun, revision & recap during around exam time. A welcome break from the more intensive & sometimes mundane revision.
Also a good way to keep them busy while I get on with marking, hence why I created so many!
I also have corresponding crosswords, match up activities word searches which serve the same purpose, so if you find this useful I’m sure you’ll find those are too.

The included files were inspired by the many maths murder mysteries i.e. https://www.tes.co.uk/teaching-resource/maths-murder-mystery--a-code-breaking-challenge-6337327
This version includes a modified mystery for students to solve using mathematics, non-verbal reasoning & computing skills (cryptography).
Accessible KS2, 3 & 4 Students (and packaged it as a presentation as well as including pdf/word doc versions so it can be distributed/modified.
I hope your students are able to solve the mystery and uncover the identity of the murderer!
If you liked this I know you’ll like our heist at the celebrity awards challenge, where a well-known celeb has made off with a trophy.

An article perfect for students who are thinking about studying A-Level Computing with the intention of doing a degree in the subject, and students who will be making the jump from A-Level Computing to Degree Level Computing.
It includes a discussion on the benefits of developing a portfolio & how it may compare / relate to qualifications, recommendations on programming languages, a firm foundation in discrete/ decision mathematics & an introduction into some of the specialisms that draw students to the subject such as; robotics, artificial intelligence, databases, security, cryptography, software testing, UX design, software engineering and more.
The reading list is probably one of the most useful I have come across and would highly recommend your students acquire some of the texts if they have an interest in the subject or are considering entering the industry.
