Greek Theatre Lesson
The lesson is a highly engaging, creative introduction to Greek theatre. It includes a brief overview of Greek theatre’s history, many practical activities, and a homework task. The workshop is aimed at A-Level Drama students. I used this as an introductory lesson before delving into Antigone. It was great to immerse the pupils into the ritualistic origins of Greek theatre.
Live Theatre Production Lesson Plan
The lesson plan is on how to respond to the Live Theatre Production question on the GCSE Drama exam.
It includes a breakdown of how to answer the question, structure a response and model examples threaded throughout to help students achieve top results.
The lesson is centred around 'Things I Know to Be True by Andrew Bovell. The production was directed by Frantic Assembly’s Scott Graham and is available for pupils to watch on Digitial Theatre+.
The lesson plan can be adapted for A-Level students - I have used this lesson with both GCSE and A-Level students who achieved excellent results.
Commedia Dell'arte Workshop
The fun and engaging Commedia Dell’arte workshop include a retrieval practice starter, a range of questions and creative, practical activities. Students will learn how to use animalistic movement to embody the stock characters in Commedia Dell’arte.
Kneehigh Workshop
The resource includes two highly engaging and creative lesson plans for GCSE and A-Level Drama and Theatre Studies developed using techniques from Kneehigh Theatre Company. The lessons have learning objectives, a range of key questions, explorative practical group work and plenaries.

This scheme of work on Macbeth is highly engaging and makes Shakespeare fun and accessible to all pupils. Each lesson has a retrieval practice starter, practical group work and plenaries.
The oracy strategies that are threaded throughout the lesson plans allow pupils to connect the themes and issues in Macbeth to the real world.

This is a highly engaging and comprehensive scheme of work for GCSE Drama, centered on the set text The Crucible. It includes detailed lesson plans that guide students through the play from Act 1 to Act 3, with clear learning objectives, key questions, and a variety of exploratory practical group activities.
The scheme also incorporates assignments designed to reinforce learning and prepare students for academic success. Over the past two years (2022-2024), my GCSE students have consistently achieved grades 8-5 while studying The Crucible as their set text.
