A handout for ‘Sunflower Seeds’ by Monika Singh Gangotra. It provides children with all the key definitions required for developing a deeper understanding of the text. Terms referenced are: discrimination, racism, melanin and colourism. Teaching staff are advised that they should have a good understanding of these concepts and terms before discussing with pupils.
