A simple step by step lesson that takes students through making a quick stir fry. Was used with a year 7 SEN class. Could probably be used with younger students or adapted to suit a wider range of key stage 3 students. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

I would love to hear if you have used it in class, and am open to feedback on how it could be improved or adapted. Here are some comments left by TES users for the previous version. "Wow. The Happiness Head Start

I felt so inspired after watching this TED talk - Shawn Achor “The Happiness Advantage: Linking Positive Brains to Performance”, I decided to make a quick resource that could be used with Secondary Students to encourage them to take positive action towards a happier outlook. I hope you enjoy using it and if you have any suggestions for how it could be developed further I would love to hear from you. Enjoy!

UPDATE: This resource was created a few years ago and some information may be out of date. Therefore some activities will need to be updated. This pack includes lots of different activities connected to the Rugby World Cup that could be used in classroom lessons across most subjects. It provides literacy and numeracy challenges, plus History, Geography and Art/Design activities. They could be used as stand alone starters or plenaries and some could be extended into full lessons. Please leave feedback if these resources worked for you! Enjoy :)

Rugby World Cup Selfies: Photo editing and fact finding project

World Cup Selfies: Photo editing and fact finding project includes step by step for photo editing using Sketchbook (Mac), these steps could easily be followed using a similar photo editor such as Photoshop. It requires students to take a snapshot and cut out their face to later use in a country fact file slide. The other activities included are as follows: literacy and numeracy challenges, memory retention tasks using video clips about the rugby world cup, and a homework task from a famous american selfie. The files available for download are all different versions of the same slideshow, which is 36 slides long. Hope you enjoy using these materials and above all else that the students enjoy the lesson(s). Please leave me feedback or get in touch with me directly if you have any questions. Thanks, Stuart

Respond Creatively to a Brief Slides and Printable Worksheet

An original lesson which focuses students on how to creatively respond to a design brief. Learning objectives: To learn about creative ideas and products. To think of creative ideas for solving a problem. Includes a fun lesson starter to encourage student to think outside the box. If you wanted to bring it to life all you need is a small cardboard box (tray from a matchbox would probably suffice), some drawing pins and a candle.

A fun tutorial style lesson that could be followed through as a tutorial or as a class. Designed to be followed over two 1 hour lessons. The task builds student confidence through the use of Marquee or Lasso tool to remove parts of the image; Magic Wand for selecting areas of an image; Clone Tool for duplicating textures; Healing Brush Tool for adding a smooth finish; Liquify Tool for stretching parts of the image; Layers for inserting new images and effects; Burn Tool for altering skin appearance; animated GIFs to ensure the image remains animated once exported; and Tween function to smoothly animate a flying saucer. It has been very well received by Year 9 students and could be used at Key Stage 4 as a fun introduction to animation. Please feel free to use and modify the slides in any way you see fit. I would love to hear if you have used it in class, and am open to feedback for improvements. Happy Photoshopping! Stuart
