Reflecting over my education I have come to realise the incredible influence that one teacher can make on a young person's life. I also realise the skills and knowledge acquired in a classroom, will be used throughout their future. Therefore, as a teacher I aspire to be a role model who develops young people, open minds, the knowledge and ability to look at the world critically and the belief in their own abilities to achieve their ambitions. Biology in particular is a subject that I personally find interesting and the different areas in which it can contribute to society in a positive manner. The desire to teach young people has been shaped throughout my life through various reasons, the first and most prominent being part of something so regarded as an institution of learning, hope, and inspiration to our future discoveries.
