This is a termly assembly theme plan dated for Term 3 of School Year 2022/23 but can be easily adapted to fit the dates of this academic year.
The termly theme is Challenge with each week having a theme related to this topic.
This plan is designed for a Secondary School however could easily be adapted for Primary School.

An RE lesson which looks at the 4 sights of Siddhartha Gautama (The Buddha) after he left the palace and his decisions and learning afterwards leading to his enlightenment including a belief in following the ‘middle way’.
This is an easy to follow power point lesson (no prior planning, printing or preparation required). The resource is designed to be delivered as one 60 minute session but all of our resources are fully editable and designed to allow sections to be added, removed or changed should you need to do so.
No previous knowledge in the subject area is needed, the lesson is easily deliverable by someone who is not a subject specialist or an experienced teacher.

This is a full lesson resource on the Christian festival of advent. The lesson looks at the ways in which advent is celebrated both now and in the past and the significance of the time for Christians. The lesson includes an optional advent candle design task with a template provided. There is a differentiated story activity using either the Bible text or a simple version ideal for lower age or ability students. We also offer a shorter tutorial / assembly version of this resource and a Christmas Jumper Day design activity.
