This simple mini book allows young students to write simple sentences that capture the true meaning of Christmas. Each page contains engaging graphics that makes writing both fun and engaging as they color and write about different Christmas elements that can be quite familiar to them. This makes a great activity for students ages 5 to 7.
Sight Words
Sight Words: Did you ever wonder whether your chosen sight words were considered under the category Dolch, Fry or Fountas and Pinnell? Well here is a comparison table just for you. The first 400 words of Dolch’s list are compared to Fry’s Instant words and F&P’s high frequency words. This is handy for all teachers as an easy tool to organize your sight words especially if you need to tweak your existing pool of sight words to reflect the spectrum.

I included 3 sets of sheets for your drawing and writing needs. Your kids will have fun completing this unit and most of all they will learn a lot more about Christmas in different parts of the world.
These A-Z Do-A-Dot alphabet worksheets are great for strengthening hand muscles and develop fine motor skills while learning the letters of the alphabet. These worksheets help your students work on uppercase and lowercase letter formation while simultaneously learning letter names and letter sounds. These are great for students to fill using dot markers, dab paint, stickers, bingo daubers or markers. Included on each page are an image and word label for students to connect with letter learning. This resource is perfect for toddler, preschool, pre-k, and kindergarten age students learning letters a to z.

Use these 8 ½ x 11 flash cards to introduce or review the letters of the alphabet with your students. This set includes both UPPERcase and lowercase letters together on one page . Fiction vs Nonfiction
This resource contains four colored posters that make a fantastic visual for fiction and nonfiction for very young learners. These posters can be displayed in your literacy centers, writing workshop area or your classroom library. These posters are simple definitions for fiction and nonfiction and I suggest that it can be a great way to start your literary genre units. Simply print them poster size and laminate or cover with plastic so that you would be able to have them all year through and from year to year.

A Teacher's Idea
Goal Setting
Students are encouraged to write goals by creating S.M.A.R.T. goals. As they do so it is helpful for them to have a visual aid to help them think along the lines of creating sound goals. These posters are a great classroom display for them to refer to whether setting goals for a day, a week, a month or a year.
Included are three (3) classroom general posters:- one with a boy playing soccer, one with a girl playing soccer and one with a simple breakdown of the S.M.A.R.T. goals.
Onset and Rime:
These onset and rimes matching cards are great for your budding readers to practice word building. They can build both real words and nonsense words and make their lists as they go along. An extension of this activity is to categorize the words in two sets: real words and nonsense words. The rimes included are those recommended by reading experts as the 37 most common rimes that children should master. The onset cards include consonants, consonant blends and beginning digraphs The rimes are:
