A collection of detailed and visually appealing posters exploring the context of An Inspector Calls in relation to when the play was set. These are great to have as a classroom display in your room. Similarly, these can be used as part of a marketplace activity whereby students learn about various contextual factors during a lesson. Rather than focus on specific contextual facts, I’ve broken context down into key themes, that way students can make more effective links between social/historical context and the play itself. If you are anything like me, you probably realise that just because students get into KS3 (and even KS4), it doesn’t automatically mean they know how to use punctuation properly, especially commas.
