Suitable for KS1/2. Prepares the pupils to become more independent and to use the target language throughout the lesson, avoiding using English unnecessarily eg: ‘May I go to the toilet? Opportunities to practise asking and answering in the third person singular in French, ‘Quel àge a-t-il/ elle? Il/ elle a …ans.’ Part 1: pupils select the character’s age [multiple choice]. Part2: pupils are shown a character and guess their age. The guess nearest to the age revealed wins. Numbers 1-100 used.
Powerpoint includes a brief background to Abba and to Napoleon, followed by the French lyrics to ‘Waterloo.’ Lyrics are broken up into manageable parts on each slide. There is no audio with this resource.
