MY name's Andy and I have been a teacher of MFL for the past 30 years, having taught both French and German to GCSE and A Level as well as some KS3 Spanish and GCSE Dutch along the way. All the resources I publish here are things I use with my own classes and think could be useful to others.

French song: de temps en temps

(1)
a gapfill exercise based on the Grégory Lemarchal's song de temps en temps. Good for general comprehension but also useful as a spring board for discussion on talent/reality shows but also on health, as he died young of cystic fibrosis whilst waiting for a lung transplant operation. You can find this song on Youtube together with the documentary on his life: la vie d'un ange

a couple of worksheets (with some common elements) on jobs, workplaces and personal qualities. There is an accompanying powerpoint to introduce new vocab & a vocab test to end the topic - aimed at Yr9 and would go well with Logo 3 unit 4 (p78-81)

Perfect tense in French le passé composé

(0)
a straightforward presentation introducing the perfect tense in French - starts with regular ER verbs, then adds 5 irregular verbs (oir/re), goes on to être verbs (only 4 at this stage) + agreements. There are exercises on each section & a recap at the end. I decided not to mention the general rule of RE>U é IR>I as the examples I chose, don't follow these patterns, however you may wish to add a slide mentioning this. This powerpoint is aimed at (end of) Yr7 but could be used for any class at KS3 or even as revision for the beginning of Yr10

starter activities on signs & signposts in French - could also be used for reading comprehension and vocab recognition - could be useful for GCSE revision. There is another resource like this on TES if you found this one useful: French Reading for GCSE2
FRENCH VERB PRACTICE

FRENCH VERB PRACTICE

5 powerpoint activities (random choice) to practise verbs in 5 tenses, reflexives in the present & perfect tenses, the future and the conditional in French. Would be ideal as a starter or plenary activity in Yr10 or 11 or even as a reminder for Yr12. I uploaded the template from TES.
